Leagues

Age Group Programs (Leagues)

We now have four age group classifications that we divide into the following groups: 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade, Junior High School, and High School.

The youth leagues are primarily focused as developmental Recreation (Rec) Leagues in order to offer Lacrosse to all participants. We accept players with all levels of skills from beginner to expert at any age level. Evaluations are performed at the beginning of each season to properly gauge a player’s ability and balance our teams for equal levels of skills. Player’s within the Rec Leagues should expect fair and balance playing time with the focus on good competition and skill development.  Most of our Rec League games are played in the Indianapolis Metro area with maybe one game per season that requires in State travel.

The club also offers a Youth Select Program for both the 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade levels.  The Select Program will have formal player evaluations leading to team selections.  The goal of the Select Program is to present highly competitive teams within the State of Indiana at each age level.  Players will see advance skill development and competitive play.  All players will see equal opportunity at practice, but games will be coached to achieve the team’s best performance and sportsmanship. The Select Program will travel throughout Indiana and 2-4 times a season to other Midwest states for games and tournaments.

Leagues Offered:

  • The Youth League is currently being offered for all 3rd and 4th grade boys.
  • The Intermediate League is currently being offered for all 5th and 6th grade boys.
  • The Junior High program is for all 7th and 8th grade boys.
  • The High School program has a Freshman team, a Junior Varsity team, and our Varsity team.

Our program has grown tremendously and we hope that you will help contribute to our fine lacrosse tradition.

US Lacrosse Requirement

The Indiana Youth Lacrosse Association requires that all players are current members of the U.S. Lacrosse Association (http://www.uslacrosse.org).  Teams are required to show U.S. Lacrosse membership for all players.  This association provides insurance to the individual players and the HSE Boys Lacrosse Club.  Each player is responsible for maintaining their own valid U.S. Lacrosse membership.  U. S. Lacrosse membership must be valid for the entire timeframe of the season and/or activity (i.e. indoor winter league).  Without a valid U.S. Lacrosse membership, no player will be allowed to participate in any activity of the HSE Boys Lacrosse Club.
